Mary Alford was first elected to the Alachua County Commission in 2020, after many years of volunteering in the community. She has served on various boards, including the Alachua County Environmental Protection Advisory Board and several local non-profit organizations. A sixth-generation Floridian, she holds degrees in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida and is a recognized expert in sustainable design and energy-efficient homes.
