Councilwoman Gelien Perez is a proud Cuban-American who was raised in the City of Hialeah, where she attended public schools and graduated from Hialeah Senior High School. She holds multiple degrees, including two Bachelor of Arts degrees from St. Thomas University and a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Florida International University, and has over 11 years of dedicated public service with the City of Hialeah.
