On October 20, 2020, Shawn was selected as City Manager for the City of Lakeland. Prior to this appointment, he served as Deputy City Manager and as Assistant City Manager. Before his work with the City of Lakeland, Shawn was the Assistant City Manager for the City of Auburndale for four years and served as their Community Development Director for six years.
