Sara Roberts McCarley was born in Lakeland, raised in Davenport, and graduated from Florida Southern College. She has dedicated her career to making a meaningful difference, serving in various leadership roles including Chair of the Citrus Connection and Mayor of Lakeland since January 5, 2026. Following the passing of her first husband, Randy, she founded the Randy Roberts Foundation to empower young people in government.
