A Brookhaven resident since 2010, District 4 Councilman John J. Funny and Mayor Pro Tempore was elected in November 2021 and sworn into office on January 4, 2022. He was subsequently re-elected in 2026 to serve another four-year term. Councilman Funny is also the President and CEO of Grice Consulting Group, an internationally recognized city/urban planning, traffic engineering, and transportation engineering consulting firm.
