After winning the general runoff election on December 4, 2023, Mayor John Park was sworn into office as Brookhaven's fourth mayor on January 8, 2024, to serve a four-year term. Mayor Park previously served as Brookhaven's District 2 Councilman beginning in November 2014 in a special election. In 2017 and 2021, then-Councilman Park was reelected for his second and third terms.
