Commissioner Demarcus Marshall is a native of Lowndes County and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and Army. He retired from the City of Valdosta in August 2024 and has served in various civic organizations and taught at Georgia Military College and Valdosta State University. He holds a PhD in Public Policy and Administration.
