Robert Blakemore took office as Walker County’s first District 1 Commissioner on January 1, 2021 and was re-elected to a second term that began January 1, 2023. District 1 covers northern Walker County, including Rossville, Fairview and part of Fort Oglethorpe. Blakemore is a lifelong resident of northern Walker County, working for his family owned and operated trucking company.
