Todd Shafer is serving his second term on the Ankeny City Council and was appointed Mayor Pro Tem on Feb. 17, 2025. He is a business owner and works for MidAmerican Energy in supply chain management as a Contracts Manager. Todd previously served on the Ankeny School Board from 2009 – 2017, including as Vice President and President.
