Arik Forsman was appointed as an At Large member of the Duluth City Council in 2018, was elected to the same post in 2019, and was re-elected in 2023. He's the former council President and 2025 chair of the Finance Committee, also serving on the Duluth Economic Development Authority and as Mayor Pro Tem from 2024-2026. Forsman has led initiatives addressing the local childcare crisis, invested in housing and public safety, and supported the TV & film industry.
