Heather Hardinger was elected to City Council to represent General Council Seat A in April 2021 and re-elected in April 2025. Mayor Pro Tem Hardinger currently serves on several City Council committees and as the City Council Liaison to the Springfield Sister Cities Association. She is a chief diversity officer for CoxHealth and holds a master's in political science.
