Mike Boyett was raised in Billings, graduated from Eastern Montana College, and served in the Air Force. He worked for the Yellowstone County Sheriff's Department and later retired from First Interstate Bank as Vice President and Corporate Security Officer. He has also held various volunteer positions including Billings Police Commissioner and Zoning Commissioner.
