Chair Watford has been married to Samuel Watford of Thomasville for 40 years, has two daughters, Jordan Lupton and Morgan Watford, and two grandchildren, Owen and Leah. She is a graduate of East Davidson High School, attended Elon College, and graduated with a B.A. degree in English from the University of NC at Greensboro. Chair Watford taught for the Davidson County Schools from 1974-2011.
