Dan Besse is an at-large Commissioner for Forsyth County, a former city council member, and a legal aid attorney. He earned his Political Science degree and law degree from UNC Chapel Hill, and has worked extensively in public health and environmental law. He served on the Winston-Salem City Council from 2001-2020 and was elected to the Board of County Commissioners in 2022.
