Paul Buchanan has resided in Onslow County since 1969, serving in the United States Marine Corps and later in public service with the Onslow County Sheriff's Department and Jacksonville Police Department. He is a North Carolina Wesleyan College graduate with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and currently directs Law Enforcement Training at Coastal Carolina Community College. Commissioner Buchanan is an active member of the Onslow County community with his wife, June, and focuses on economic development and youth enrichment programs.
