About

A native of Gilmer, Texas, Sally Greene has called Orange County home for three decades. Prior to her election to the Board of County Commissioners in 2018, she served three terms on the Chapel Hill Town Council, demonstrating policy expertise in housing, community development, and criminal justice reform. She holds a J.D. from George Washington University and a Ph.D. in English from UNC-Chapel Hill, and currently works as an associate attorney.
