Jonathan Lambert-Melton has served as an at-large Raleigh City Council member since 2019, where he chairs the Economic Development and Innovation Committee and is Vice-Chair of the Transportation and Transit Committee. An attorney specializing in family law, he is a partner at Soni Brendle Essick Melton and holds degrees from North Carolina State University and North Carolina Central University School of Law. He is the first openly LGBTQ person elected citywide in Raleigh and is a founding board member of Stonewall Sports, Inc.
