Commissioner Dr. Joe Democko was appointed to the Wayne County Board of Commissioners in January 2026 to serve as the At-Large Commissioner. He and his wife, Gia, moved to Goldsboro in 1994, where they raised their three children. A Board-Certified Chiropractic Physician, Dr. Democko has served Wayne County residents throughout his career and has been an active member of the community for more than three decades.
