Councilman Vernon Pullins Jr. has represented the 3rd ward since 2019. He was raised in East Orange and graduated from East Orange High School in 1990. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers, a Doctorate in Jurisprudence from Rutgers School of Law-Newark, and a Masters in Educational Leadership and Administration from New Jersey City University.
