Manuel Sanchez was appointed to the commission seat in District 5 on March 28, 2019. He served the remainder of the term vacated by Karen Trujillo. Commissioner Sanchez is originally from Anthony, grew up in El Paso, and studied mechanical engineering at MIT, later working for General Electric.
