About

Meghan Keegan holds a Masters in Social Welfare from the University at Albany and spent 15 years working with special victims, at-risk youth, and individuals with disabilities in non-profit and state government roles. She currently works for organized labor, serves on the Executive Board for United Steel Workers Local 9265, and has been involved in various non-profit work and advocacy. Elected to the Albany Common Council in 2021 representing the 9th Ward, she has passed legislation expanding Paid Family Leave, established the Albany Commission on Disabilities, and sponsored legislation for new city departments.
