About

Austin Maxwell, a native of Knoxville, TN, graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1988 and later received his MBA from MTSU in 2007. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the Tennessee Army National Guard in 2017 after 20+ years of service, including deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. Maxwell was elected to the Murfreesboro City Council in August 2022, with his current term expiring in 2030.
