As a Rutherford County native, Averwater has seen firsthand the growth of Murfreesboro and feels passionately about the City’s success. Averwater has served on the Murfreesboro Planning Commission since 2021 and recognizes it was this opportunity that led her to run for City Council. Jami Averwater’s first term began in 2022. Her current term expires in 2030.
