Barry Mayo is a native of Danville, VA, and a graduate of George Washington High School, holding a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts and a Master's in Education Athletic Administration. He works at Danville Community College with TARE and SCALE-UP programs, training citizens for employment, and has previously assisted ex-offenders with re-entry. Mayo is actively involved in the community, serving on boards and as a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated.
